High Blood Pressure Sent Me To The Hospital


I'll never forget that night. My stress level was through the roof. I thought my brain was going to explode.

I went to the closest hospital emergency room and they told me my blood pressure was dangerously high.  The doctor handed me a pill and said this will fix it. An hour later, my blood pressure was unchanged so they gave me another pill.

Yet another hour passed and my blood pressure was still off the charts. So I started deep breathing. For an hour while the doctors and nurses treated other patients... I just keep breathing.


When they came back to take my blood pressure again, it was normal. It wasn't the medicine that helped normalize my blood pressure. It was my breathing.

Cortisol is directly linked to overeating, weight gain, insulin spikes, and serious intestinal issues. It may also cause irritability, mood swings, anxiety, and depression.


In men, cortisol can cause a loss of libido and erectile dysfunction. In women, cortisol can cause problems with regular ovulation cycles and menstrual periods.

Decreased PCO2 levels

When the body gets stressed, the respiratory rate increases and this may result in hyperventilation. This triggers the PCO2 levels in the body to go down and may cause any of the following symptoms: dizziness, feeling lightheaded, numbness, muscle spasms (in the hands and feet), discomfort in the chest area, fever, confusion, dry mouth, and a tingling sensation in the arms or legs.

When PCO2 levels remain low for longer periods, the body may suffer from pain, stroke, or sock. And if left unattended, pulmonary, cardiac, or liver failure may occur.

Loss of sleep & Depleted energy levels

A lack of proper sleep slows down impairs your judgement and cognitive abilities (like critical thinking, problem solving, attention, and the ability to learn). A lack of sleep is also a serious safety hazard that may lead to injuries and loss of life.

Sleeplessness can develop into insomnia. Chronic sleep loss increases the risks of heart disease, heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeat, hypertension, and heart failure.
